Post-combustion Approaches

• Carbon Capture and Storage (”CCS‘). CCS is mainly based on the use of amines (which has recently been flagged as health hazardous due to causing cancer) and Chilled ammonia process (Alstom) to capture CO2 from the flue gas and this CO2 is envisaged to be stored underground.
• Carbon Mineralization, where the CO2 in the flue gas reacts with various compounds to Create various usable outputs. ENGSL CMT produces outputs such as Soda Ash and Sodium Bicarbonate.
